Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Montreal. Tour of the city by bus, time permitting. Dinner and overnight in Montreal.

Day 2: Visit Mount Royal for a panoramic view of the city of Montreal, St. Joseph’s Oratory, the world’s largest shrine to St Joseph founded by St. Brother André in 1904. The basilica's dome reaches 97 meters and is second in height only to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. We will see and venerate the relics of St. Brother André and then we will celebrate Mass. After Mass we will do the Way of the Cross on the mountainside. Visit the Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde that was visited by St. Pope Paul VI and st. Pope John Paul II. Visit the 350 year old Notre Dame de Bon Secours Chapel built in 1771 that was often visited by sailors to pray before they were shipped out for duty. Dinner and overnight in Montreal.

Day 3: Visit Notre Dame Basilica, modeled after Sainte Chapelle Cathedral in Paris, the Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Présentation, Our Lady of the Cape Shrine, also located in the majestic region of Mauricie as Canada’s national shrine to our Blessed Mother. Dinner and overnight in Montreal.

Day 4: Today we travel to Quebec City. Visit the Ursulines Monastery, which was founded by a missionary group of Ursuline nuns in 1639. This monastery holds the honor of being the oldest institution of learning for women in North America! Visit the Centre Marie-de-l’Incarnation, established by St. Marie Guyart of the Incarnation, St. Augustine’s Monastery and the Centre Catherine-de-Saint-Augustin, which commemorates the co-founder of the Canadian church, basilica-cathedral Notre-Dame de Quebec with a visit to the crypt and the François de Laval Center. Dinner and overnight in Quebec.

Day 5: Visit the National Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre with its mosaics, stained-glass windows, the Way of the Cross, and Scala Santa (a replica of the staircase Christ walked up to speak to Pilate). Visit Montmorency Falls Park, where the waterfalls are 272 feet tall (100 feet higher than Niagara Falls)! Dinner and overnight in Quebec.

Day 6: Fly back home.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
