Trip Includes

  • The tour fees for our guides. Our tour guides are well educated, caring, and professional. Most of them have their PhD's in Church history, archeology, philosophy, languages, or Theology.
  • Luggage handling. Please pack light, one piece of luggage and one carry-on.
  • Dress casually throughout the whole trip. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting Basilicas or churches.
  • If you are traveling alone and you allow us to find you a roommate, you don't pay the $900 single supplement. If you wish to have your own room and you are not open to rooming with another passenger, then the single supplement fee is $900.
  • Wheelchair can be provided for those passengers who cannot walk, with prior notice at registration for $150. A traveling companion has to push the wheelchair throughout the trip.
  • At the time of registration, as a part of the total balance, a non-refundable $500 (hotel and airfare deposit) is due in the form of a credit card. For example, if your trip costs $3,700, when you sign up, you pay a $500 deposit, then your balance would be $3,200 and is due 4 months before departure date. If you sign up after the final payment due date or at the last minute, you pay the entire cost of the trip at registration.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Depart from USA. Arrival next day.

Day 2: Arrival. Enjoy a city tour by bus. Rest and have a great dinner. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Tour of Cairo: Breakfast. A guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your Egypt pyramid tour, you will start your pyramid tour to visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. Then we will move on to tour the Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The Egyptian museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world, as well as Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the1920 when his tomb was excavated. Nile photo stop. Transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.

Day 4: Memphis and Sakkara Tour: Breakfast. A guide will pick you up from your hotel then transfer to visit the Step Pyramids of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. After that transfer to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the Statue of Ramses II. On your way to the south you will visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5: Alexandria: Visit this amazing city of Alexandria founded by Alexander the great. It was one of the five seats of the Patriarchates of the early Church. Visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of Egypt's most important contemporary landmarks and the cultural heart of the city. Then proceed to the Catacombs of Kom el-Shuqqafa. Finish the day by enjoy a walk in Downtown Alexandria's wide, waterfront Corniche Road which is as much a symbol of the city as any of its monuments. Dinner on the way back. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 6: The Citadel & Old Cairo Tour : Breakfast. A guide will pick you from your hotel. You will get to visit Salah El Din Citadel which was constructed by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders. After that visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came specially from Istanbul and built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years. Then proceed to Visit Old Cairo where you will enjoy, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, Church of Abu Serga and back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 7: Fly back home.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Pro Catholic Tour's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
