Trip Includes

  • The tour fees for our guides. Our tour guides are well educated, caring, and professional. Most of them have their PhD's in Church history, archeology, philosophy, languages, or Theology.
  • Luggage handling. Please pack light, one piece of luggage and one carry-on.
  • If you are traveling alone and you allow us to find you a roommate, you don't have to pay the $900 single supplement. If you wish to have your own room and you are not open to the idea of rooming with another passenger, then $900 is what you pay for single supplement fee.
  • Dress casually all throughout the trip. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting Basilicas or churches.
  • Wheelchair can be provided for those passengers who cannot walk, with prior notice at registration for $150. A traveling companion has to push the wheelchair throughout the trip.
  • NOTE: If you wish to deepen your knowledge of the Catholic Faith as a preparation for this pilgrimage, we recommend the following book as it is faithful to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church (Imprimatur by ARCHBISHOP FELIPE AGUIRRE FRANCO): The Catholic Faith in Easy Terms. Introduction, Nihil Obstat, and Imprimatur by Archbishop Felipe Aguirre Franco.
  • At the time of registration, as a part of the total balance, a non-refundable $500 is due in the form of a credit card. For example, if your trip costs $3,700, when you sign up, you pay a $500 deposit, then your balance would be $3,200 and is due 4 months before departure date in the form of cash, personal check, cashiers check, or money order. If you sign up after the final payment due date or at the last minute, you pay the entire cost of the trip at registration.
  • 1 month after registration, a $1,000 additional deposit is due only in the form of cash, personal check, cashiers check, or money order.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Zurich, Switzerland.

Day 2: Tour of the city by bus. Zurich is Switzerland's largest city and a center for the business world in Europe. It is located in north-central Switzerland, at the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich. See the Limmat River, the famous St. Peter's Church, the Fraumuenster with its famous Chagall windows and the twin-spired Grossmuenster. Drive to Emmental Valley and visit the beautiful village of Wasen. Dinner and overnight in Wasen.

Day 3: Enjoy a full day in the Emmental Valley through which the River Emme flows. Enjoy the picturesque villages with their long tradition of craftsmanship. Experience watching craftsmen at work; visit a farm and a Emmental dairy, where the famous Emmentaler (Swiss) cheese is made. Dinner and overnight in Wasen.

Day 4: Visit Berne, Switzerland's Capital. Experience the old Town with its quaint streets, the Parliament, and the famous Clock Tower of Zytgloggeturm. Then off to Switzerland's best-preserved medieval towns, Murten, located along Lake Murten. Visit Avenches, the sight of the old Roman capital of Helvetii (Switzerland), with its Roman amphi-theatre; stop at the village of Broc where we will visit the Nestle Chocolate Factory. Enjoy a chocolate tasting. Then proceed to Montreux, rightly called the "Pearl of the Swiss Riviera" on the shores of Lake Geneva. Dinner and overnight in Montreux.

Day 5: Today, We will visit the mountain village of Zermatt (over 5,000 ft.), a sports resort that lies at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn (over 14,000 ft.). The view is spectacular where you see the view of the Alps at best. Experience the horse-drawn carriages or electric carts. Dinner and overnight in Montreux.

Day 6: Visit the Berner Oberland, located in central Switzerland and known for its summer and winter resorts, the small village of Gstaad, where chalets are owned by royalty and Hollywood stars; the resort of Lauterbrunnen with its famous Staubbach Falls. Take a train to the automobile-free mountainside village of Wengen (4,200 ft.). Wengen is famous for walks, climbs and its gorgeous sunset. Dinner and overnight in Wengen.

Day 7: Free day in Wengen. You could walk on the mountain footpaths, take a train or a cable car. The tour guide will explain all the incredible options to enjoy on this day. Dinner and overnight in Wengen.

Day 8: Visit Brienz and enjoy a a demonstration of the art of woodcarving. Then off to Lucerne with its old stone walls and watch towers. See the Lion Monument, the Old Town, the famous wooden Kapellbruecl (Chapel Bridge), the Jesuit Church, and the 17th century Town Hall. Dinner and overnight in Zurich.

Day 9: Visit Liechtenstein, famous for its fancy postage stamps, the countryside of the Canton (State) of Appenzell which its fruit trees, barns, farms, and the Brown Swiss cows with their bells. Explore the quaint village of Appenzell, with its flower-bedecked houses, rustic streets, hand-carved wooden items, and the Appenzell boedeli (wooden milk pails). Visit Liechtenstein's capital of Vaduz, situated below the castle of Crown Prince Hans Adam II. Dinner and overnight in Zurich.

Day 10: Fly back home from Zurich.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Pro Catholic Tour's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
