Trip Includes

  • A Catholic priest will be with the group to celebrate daily Mass.

  • The tour fees for our guides. Our tour guides are well educated, caring, and professional. Most of them have their PhD's in Church history, archeology, philosophy, languages, or Theology.
  • Dress casually throughout the whole trip. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting Basilicas or churches.
  • If you are traveling alone and you allow us to find you a roommate, you don't pay the $900 single supplement. If you wish to have your own room and you are not open to rooming with another passenger, then the single supplement fee is $900.
  • Wheelchair can be provided for those passengers who cannot walk, with prior notice at registration for $150. A traveling companion has to push the wheelchair throughout the trip.
  • At the time of registration, as a part of the total balance, a non-refundable $500 deposit ($500 hotel and airfare deposit) is due in the form of a credit card. For example, if your trip costs $3,700, when you sign up, you pay a $500 deposit, then your balance would be $3,200 and is due 4 months before departure date. If you sign up after the final payment due date or at the last minute, you pay the entire cost of the trip at registration.

Trip Itinerary

September 21: Departure from your hometown. Upon arrival you will be met by the tour guide and visit the Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala, founded by St. Junipero Serra in 1769. If time permits we will have a bus tour of the area before going to dinner. After dinner we will check into our hotel in San Diego.

September 22: Late start, check out of the hotel and depart for the Mission San Juan Capistrano founded by St. Junipero in 1776. After our tour and time for devotions we will continue on for dinner and overnight in Los Angeles.

September 23: We will begin with a tour of Christ Cathe-dral in the Diocese of Orange. This will be fol-lowed by a visit to the San Gabriel Archangel Mis-sion, founded in 1771 by St. Junipero; and the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, known not only for the gravesites of many famous people, but also for the beautiful statues and artwork throughout the grounds. Dinner and overnight in Los Angeles.

September 24: This morning we will stop at the Santa Monica pier where you can see the western end of Route 66, walk on the beach, or visit the pier. Then drive up the California coastline to visit the San Buenaventura Mission that St. Junipero founded in 1782. Then continue on to the Mission San Luis Obispo, also founded by St. Junipero in 1772. Dinner and overnight in or near San Luis Obispo.

September 25: After breakfast we will depart for the Hearst Castle where we will have a tour. After lunch we will continue on to the Mission of San Antonio De Padua founded in 1771 by St. Juni-pero. Upon arrival in Monterey, we will visit the Mission San Carlos Borrome o del rí o Carmelo, also called Carmel Mission Basilica, which St. Junipero founded in 1770, followed by free time to option-ally visit Pebble Beach. Dinner and overnight in the area of Monterey.

September 26: After breakfast travel to the Old Mission San Juan Bautista, founded in 1797 by Fr. Fermin Francisco de Lasuen successor to St. Juniper Serra. Then on to the Mission Santa Clara de Asis, found-ed in 1777 by St. Junipero Serra. Finally, we will visit the Mission San Jose, also founded by Fr Fer-min Francisco de Lasuen in 1797. Dinner and overnight in San Francisco.

September 27: After breakfast visit Mision San Francisco de Asís founded by St. Junipero Serra in 1776. The remainder of the day will be in San Francisco, beginning with a brief bus tour of the city, and culminating at Fisherman’s Wharf for lunch and a free afternoon to explore the area on your own. Dinner and overnight in San Francisco.

September 28: Breakfast at the hotel then cross the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to Muir Woods to see the Redwood trees. Enjoy lunch among the Redwoods then continue on to Napa for a tour, wine tasting, and dinner. After dinner overnight in Sacramento.

September 29: Today we will return home, our private bus will take us to the airport in time for our departing flight.
