Trip Includes

  • A Catholic priest will be with the group to celebrate daily Mass.
  • Round-trip airfare from your hometown connecting in a major city to fly overseas is included. If your city has a direct flight to your destination, we will guarantee a direct flight as long as it is available.

  • Exclusively 4 or 5 star hotels in downtown areas.
  • All breakfasts and all dinners. Wine is included with all dinners.
  • Transportation with luxury bus.
  • All entrance fees to all the sites.
  • All tips to everyone involved in the tour.
  • The tour fees for our guides. Our tour guides are well educated, caring, and professional. Most of them have their PhD's in Church history, archeology, philosophy, languages, or Theology.
  • Luggage handling. Please pack light, one piece of luggage and one carry-on.
  • Dress casually throughout the whole trip. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting Basilicas or churches.
  • We limit our group to a maximum of 24 passengers, unless the priest on the trip requests a larger group. Small groups with a 5 star service in 4/5 star hotels.
  • If you are traveling alone and you allow us to find you a roommate, you don't pay the $900 single supplement. If you wish to have your own room and you are not open to rooming with another passenger, then the single supplement fee is $900.
  • Taxi and wheelchair can be provided gratis for those passengers who cannot walk, with prior notice at registration. A traveling companion has to push the wheelchair throughout the trip.
  • At the time of registration, as a part of the total balance, a non-refundable $500 (hotel and airfare deposit) is due in the form of a credit card. For example, if your trip costs $3,700, when you sign up, you pay a $500 deposit, then your balance would be $3,200 and is due 4 months before departure date. If you sign up after the final payment due date or at the last minute, you pay the entire cost of the trip at registration.

Trip Itinerary

June 10: Departure from USA.

June 11: Arrival. Celebrate Mass and tour the Basilica of St. Paul outside the Wall where the body of St. Paul is buried. It is the 2nd largest basilica in Rome and the 5th in the world. Tour St. Mary Major, the main Basilica dedicated to Mary in Rome. We will see the tomb of Bernini, the tomb of St. Jerome, and the famous painting of Mary, Salus Populi Romani. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

June 12: Casual dress throughout the day. We will have an early start as our private bus leaves around 7:00 am to the Vatican to experience the 10:00 am Audience with the Pope. We will see the Pope very closely; sometimes we even shake his hand. There will be time for lunch in the area of the Vatican before we visit the Spanish Steps. From there we will walk to the Trevi Fountain and have time for shopping followed by a walk to the Pantheon, the oldest functional building in the world (now a Catholic church!), and Santa Maria Sopra Minerva where some of the remains of St Catherine are displayed. Then off to the great artistic Piazza Navona around 4:30 pm. Dinner at Piazza Navona. Overnight in Rome.

June 13: Start the day around 9:30 am by visiting the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, the Pope's private chapel. Tour of St. Peter's in the Vatican, the largest Basilica in the world. Long pants, capris, or skirts below the knee, shoulders covered. Time to rest before dinner in the area of the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Nero's in Rome.

June 14: Start around 9:00am. Visit the Colosseum, the symbol of the city of Rome; a great building that has been standing since 80 A.D. Then visit and celebrate Mass at St. John Lateran, the first Basilica ever to be built in the Roman Empire, and the Baptistery. In the afternoon, go to the breathtaking Catacombs where 500,000 people were buried. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

June 15: Travel to and tour Monte Casino and the sights related to St. Benedict and St. Scholastica. On the way back to Rome enjoy a short visit of the town of Nemi, its crater-lake, and Castel Gondolfo, the Pope's summer residence. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

June 16: Travel to Assisi. Celebrate Sunday Mass at San Damiano. Visit Santa Maria Degli Angeli, the tombs of St. Francis and St. Clare. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.

June 17: Drive to near Montalcino and tour the Poggio Antico Winery. Lunch at the winery. Drive to Siena: Visit this beautiful medieval city with its center gathered within ancient walls which hold beautiful monuments and museums. Visit the Piazza del Campo, Palazzo Comunale and Torre del Mangia. Visit the Duomo which is a majestic example of Romanesque-Gothic style. Dinner at Osteria Nona Gina and overnight in Siena.

June 18: Drive to and tour Florence in the region of Tuscany. Tour of the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Michelangelo's masterpiece, The David, Flea Market, Duomo (Cathedral), and the Baptistery. Tour Guide will show to those interested the location of the Basilica of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapel (where the Medici family was buried), and Basilica della Santa Croce (where Michelangelo and 15 other glorious Italian artists and thinkers were buried). Dinner and overnight in Florence.

June 19: Drive to Ravenna. Tour the tomb of Dante near the Basilica of St. Francesco. Ravenna is a city in Emilia-Romagna, Italy known for the colorful mosaics adorning many of its central buildings, like the octagonal Basilica di San Vitale, the 6th-century Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, and the cross-shaped Mausoleo di Galla Placidia. North of the center, the Mausoleo di Teodorico built in the 6th century for King Theodoric the Great, is a Gothic, circular stone tomb with a monolithic dome. Dinner and overnight in Ravenna.

June 20: Drive to Padua. Visit the Shrine of St. Anthony of Padua. Celebrate Mass at the shrine. Dinner and overnight in Padua.

June 21: Tour of Venice: an amazing city built on water. Leave for Venice in the morning on our private bus. Estimated time of arrival is 12:00 noon. Visit St. Mark's plaza. Optional: Gondola ride and shopping. Long pants if you intend to go inside St. Mark's. Casual dress if you intend to go on a Gondola ride or spend time shopping and visiting the beautiful streets and bridges of Venice. Dinner and overnight in Padua.

June 22: Drive to Milan. Tour of the city by bus. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

June 23: Tour of the Duomo and join in the celebration of Sunday Mass. Have lunch and take some free time in the shopping district. Dinner and overnight in Milan.

June 24: Fly back home.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal.
